I recently purchased Microolap's CHM eBook Reader version 2.1. I have
been very happy with it, it greatly outperforms every other CHM reader
I have used on the Pocket PC.

Last week I upgraded to a Windows Mobile 2003 SE device, the HP iPAQ
hx4700. Version 2.1 ran fine there, I was happy with it. But now
that I have put version 2.2 on, it is even better! The font is the
clearest I could even imagine (if only eBook had this kind of font!).
Version 2.2 opens a CHM book that version 2.1 could not. And I can
toggle to landscape mode without having to restart the program.

I'm a software developer and have often wanted to carry various CHMs with
me for reference - in fact the main use of my PocketPC *is* reference -
however I've not been able to find a good CHM reader. I recently downloaded
the Microolap CHM eBook Reader, and I am very pleased with it - CHMs are now
the main format I use.

Congratulations on a hugely useful product.

So, I tried the new version! And IT WORKS FANTASTIC!
I have an ACER n10, Pocket PC 2003 ( It isn't the fastest piece of hardware...)
Opening a chm file lasts about 5 seconds
Closing is imediately without timelag!
How do you achieve to programm such a fast chm reader??? Is it written in assembler??? I tried out every other reader but they were awfully slow. Great piece of software!

I tried many CHM readers before and was pretty sceptic about this one. I was totally wrong. This reader can open huge ebooks and it does it pretty quick. I also love that the table of contents is just one click away and navigating trough chapters is like a breeze.

Being a head of web-programmers team I have to read a lot of technical literature that very often comes in Microsoft CHM format. To make life easier I bought Pocket PC PDA mainly just for this task, but what was my astonishment when I found that it cannot read Microsoft CHM files! I started to look for software that would help me with this, but to my disappointment all software I found before either couldn't open large CHM files or spent so much time just to open single page that proved to be useless...

Finally I found CHM eBook Reader for Pocket PC by MicroOlap and I stopped my searches!!! This program became essential software for me, because it opens all CHM files I need and makes it with such astonishing speed that it seems to beat even native MS Windows help system on desktop computer!

I want to thank all developers of this wonderful product and I hope they would continue to improve it and would make it even more convenient then it is now.

CHM eBook Reader is the first CHM (compiled HTML) reader I tried that actually worked! Not only was it able to open 40+ MB CHM files, but did so in less than two seconds. Being an IT professional, I have an extensive collection of CHM e-books and this product could handle anything I threw at it in a fast and reliable manner.

The interface is very professionally looking and efficient. The program operates without any problems. Over years I have tested and used scores of Pocket PC applications and I can honestly say that CHM eBook Reader is one of the best written and user friendly programs so far.

I think it is an absolute must for anyone who wants to carry CHM formatted e-books with them and peruse them in a quick and reliable way. No other CHM reader can touch this one!

What a great product, I've just purchased and downloaded the full version from handango.com.

I'm going to have great fun converting all my PDF files to Chm files so I can read them on my Pocketpc.
